What VidText does

VidText creates transcripts, subtitles, translations and summaries of audio/video you submit, and can save media you are entitled to save.

Your responsibility

• Only submit content you own, that is licensed for this use, or that you may otherwise lawfully process (for example personal study, accessibility or quotation where the law allows it).
• Respect the terms of the sites you link to. Some platforms do not allow downloading; do not use VidText to break those rules.
• Do not use VidText to circumvent DRM or access controls. DRM-protected services are not supported.
• Do not abuse the service (automated mass submissions, attempts to reach internal systems, evading limits).

Limits and availability

The service runs on shared hardware with daily limits. We may change limits, suspend accounts that abuse the service, and remove content in response to valid takedown notices.

Retention

Downloaded and extracted files are deleted automatically after a few hours; uploads after 24 hours. Transcripts remain in your library until you delete the job.

No warranty

AI output can be wrong. Check transcripts, translations and summaries before relying on them.
